My favorite air fryer!!
I love the Vortex Plus 10 qt air fryer! I bought it to replace my traditional bucket style air fryer. The Vortex is easier to clean, works well on multiple functions & I use it all the time.

Control panel works intermittently
using the default setting I used the Vortex 3 times. Had unplug to stop it - control panel did not work. The machine has great potential - if only it could be controlled.

Bought this unit 2/2022. it has worked great till now. the control panel has burned out digital readings. still usable but wont be for much longer. it is sad that this company says throw away and purchase new. when you are on a budget that is not possible. i do not recommend this product. Do not buy this, no repair service available
Do not buy this appliance. I got this as a gift over two years ago. It has recently started to display only parts of the digital numbers of the temperature and time. I called the 1-800 number for customer service to see where I could get this repaired. They said they do not have anyone in my country USA that could repair it! And I would have to buy a new one myself! I will not be buying this brand again.

Bachelor Cooking Aid.
I've had my Instant-Pot Airfryer Plus for over a year now, and it's become a mainstay of my bachelor kitchen home cooking. Everything from Steak to Baked Potatoes, or a snack of Breaded Fried Mushrooms and Mozzarella Sticks for my buddies and me sitting around the living room watching a game. It's one of the best items I have in my kitchen for easy cooking.

Glorified Microwave
I bought this air fryer about 4 months ago. This is our first air fryer. I really don't see what the big deal is in air fryers. Its more like a glorified microwave. The one downside to this product is every time we use it, it has this burning plastic smell. I don't know where on this fryer its coming from. My wife hates that smell with a passion. I don't know if in time it will go away. This is my first and last air fryer.

I loved it, until the door sensor failed 4 months after warranty
This air fryer has been great, until things start failing right after the warranty period is over. The door sensor has failed, not recognizing that it is open. Message boards online seem to indicate that this also happens in the opposite direction, making it think the door is open and rendering it useless. At least mine failed while the thing was still going, so I can still use it but it won't shut off when I open the door, and I have to unplug it to reset it every time now.

The screen on the machine quickly became illegible and difficult to decipher. Support offered no solution and said my machine cannot be replaced or repaired. Incredibly frustrating, do not recommend unless you like throwing money away.

Love My Vortex
I truthfully cannot tell you how old my Vortex is but it's well over 4 years! And I can promise you I use it almost daily!I've learn to adjust cook temp and times pretty well and appreciate the ease. As has been mentioned the lights on the display have dimmed but function and are still readable!I would/WILL buy this again when the time comes. My only regret is that there is not a larger model!★★★★★

Frustrating Display Issues and Cleaning Hassles
I've had the Instant Pot® Vortex® Plus 10QT Air Fryer Oven for about a year now, and unfortunately, this is the third model I've owned in just five years, and I'm starting to wonder if the brand's quality control is lacking in certain areas. While the Vortex® Plus has some great features and the potential to be an excellent kitchen appliance, there are a few major frustrations that have made me seriously consider looking for a different option.The primary issue I've had with this model—and with the two previous Instant Pot air fryers I've owned—is the display. After a few months of use, the touchscreen becomes unresponsive, and I have a really hard time pressing the buttons. I'll tap the function (air fry, bake, etc.) and nothing happens. Another area where I'm disappointed is with the ease of cleaning. One of the main selling points of air fryers is supposed to be that they are easy to clean, but the Vortex® Plus has been a bit of a letdown in this regard. While you can wipe down the non-stick surfaces, grease tends to accumulate in the harder-to-reach corners and around the edges, and it requires extra effort to scrub those areas.When the machine is functioning correctly, the performance is generally pretty solid. The 10QT size is great for larger families or meal prepping, and it cooks food quickly and evenly. The air frying function works well, delivering crispy results without needing much oil. I've used it for everything from chicken wings to roasted vegetables, and the results are generally consistent.I really wanted to love this machine, but at this point, the frustration with the touchscreen and the extra effort required to clean it after every use makes me hesitant to recommend it. If you're someone who values ease of use and reliability, you might want to explore other options that don't come with the same recurring issues.
